Bill Barrie is a retired high school teacher and elementary principal. He was also a minor hockey coach. Bill and his family are all users of the Community Centre. Bill lives in West Vancouver.
MARY JO CAMPBELL
Mary Jo Campbell was a commercial real estate lawyer and a partner at Borden Ladner Gervais. She is a Trustee on the Board of West Vancouver Memorial Library and was also Chair of the Board amongst other committee groups. Mary Jo has been involved with many committees across West Vancouver. She has 3 older children and lives in West Vancouver and were all active members of the Centre as the children were growing up.
Michael Courtenay is Senior Vice President of Design and Construction at British Pacific Properties Limited. He has been in the building and development industry for the past 40 years, with the last 30 years working in the capacity of senior management. Michael has served as a director for The Dance Foundation, Artstart and the Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association. Michael and his wife Joyce have been residents of West Vancouver for over 8 years and reside in Ambleside. Michael is a current Director of the WVCCS Board and serves as a member of the Resource Development Committee.
Richard Fisher is the Chief Communications Officer for Development and Alumni Engagement at UBC. Richard has previously been involved with WVCCS as a member of the Communications Task Force. Richard and his family live in West Vancouver.
Terri Green has been an active member of the West Bay PAC, including co-chair for the last 2 years. She has been involved with fundraising for the school. She was also on the DPAC of West Vancouver for 5 years and held various roles as well as involved with WV Minor Hockey, WV Soccer Club and Athletics for Kids. Currently works for Kintec Footlabs. Terri lives in West Vancouver with her family.
Janine is a current Director of the WVCCS Board and serves as a member of the Governance and HR Committee. Janine lives in West Vancouver with her family and are very active members in the West Vancouver community and at the West Vancouver Community Centre.
Najeeb has been a partner at Roper Greyell since 2014, having formerly been a partner in the labour and employment group of one of Canada's largest national law firms. His legal career also includes serving as Vice-Chair of the BC Labour Relations Board. Najeeb’s practice includes representation of public, private and First Nations employers in the highway maintenance, hospitality, gaming, retail, construction, mining, municipal and health sectors. Najeeb assists both union and non-union employers to avoid and resolve difficult legal and human resource challenges.
His professional affiliations include: The Canadian Bar Association, The American Bar Association, The Law Society of British Columbia and The Law Society of Upper Canada. Najeeb obtained a B.A from the University of Western Ontario and an LL.B from the University of Victoria.
Outside of the law, Najeeb enjoys hiking the North Shore mountains with his wife and golden doodle, Harry, and playing recreational hockey. He and his family have enjoyed their experiences at the West Vancouver Community Centre over their many years living on the North Shore.
Najeeb is a current Director of the WVCCS Board and serves as a member of the Governance & HR committee.
Julie is a Senior Manager in the Assurance practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and has extensive experience working with public, private and not-for-profit entities. She is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of BC and holds her Bachelors of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University. Her previous volunteer experience includes being a former Director of the North Shore Meals on Wheels Society.
Julie is a third generation West Vancouver resident and went to elementary and high school in the area. She now lives with her husband and two children young children in the Bayridge area, who are avid users of the Community Centre programs.
Julie is a current Director + Treasurer of the WVCCS Board and serves on the Finance and Audit Committee.
Peter is born and raised in Vancouver and married into West Vancouver in 2002. After earning a finance degree at Western University in 1995 he began a career as an Investment Advisor at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management and has been there ever since.

Peter is very involved in the community working with a number of charities including: volunteering on the Gold Plate Dinner committee for the Hellenic Community of Vancouver, cabinet member for the JDRF Sun Life Ride to defeat diabetes, and coaching and managing two teams for West Vancouver Football Club. You can often find Peter on the North Shore training for a marathon, skiing, playing hockey, softball and golf. He has two wonderful boys and a fabulous wife.
Clark is Financial Advisor with Raymond James. Recently travelled to India to volunteer with Sleeping Children Around the World and Free the Children. He and his young family live in West Vancouver.
Sara McCracken is a lawyer with Deloitte Tax Law LLP, specializing in tax and corporate/commercial law. She holds her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Queen’s University, her Bachelor of Laws from the University of British Columbia, and her Master of Law in Tax from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Sara has published articles on a wide variety of legal matters, and she is an active member of various professional organizations. Sara has previously served as a director, officer, and honorary legal counsel for other not-for-profit entities.
Sara grew up in West Vancouver, where she currently resides with her husband and two children. Sara is an avid runner and skier, and her whole family enjoys the Community Centre’s facilities and programs.
Sara is a current Director of the WVCCS Board and is Chair of the Governance and HR Committee.
Joanne has lived in West Vancouver over 17 years. She has led the Child Care Working Group, been a member of the Library Board, is currently volunteering on the Horseshow Bay Park Revitalization and the Local Area Plan initiatives.
She is an energized and highly motivated team leader and player who is results-oriented individual who thrives on challenges and solving complex issues. She is an experienced and skilled relationship manager and excellent communicator, operating with integrity and transparency. She has nearly 30 years of experience with a broad knowledge and understanding of government, governance, the utility industry, Indigenous Relations, policy and environmental issues.
Nicola has worked in the non-profit sector as a volunteer, fundraiser and board member. Having spent years in the financial sector, Nicola uses her background and experience to further not for profit causes.
She currently serves as the Executive Director for the Dream On Seniors Foundation, sits on the Society’s Resource Development Committee and is Co-Chair for PumpkinFest 2015. Nicola is committed to family and community and as a recent newcomer to the North Shore, she is enjoying exploring and getting to know the North Shore.
Nicola is a current Director of the WVCCS Board and serves as a member of the Resource Development committee as well as a past co-chair of PumpkinFest.
Mr. Roop Mundi currently serves as President of Mundi Capital Ventures - a private equity firm focused on consumer products distribution and logistics. Included in Mundi Capital's investment portfolio, is Jilong Plastic Products (North America) Inc. which is the sales, marketing and logistics arm of Shanghai Jilong Plastic Products - the third largest PVC producer of consumer goods worldwide. Mundi Capital currently provides logistics services and solutions for Weveel Products LLC, Volm Industries Inc. and GrillTime Inc. Since it’s inception in 2015, Mundi Capital has successfully exited in three portfolio companies with an average multiple of four times total investment amount.
Prior to Mundi Capital, Mr. Mundi served as Vice President, General Counsel of RCI Capital Group Inc., a private equity firm based in Vancouver focused on Asia based transactions in the technology and energy markets. Prior to RCI Capital, Mr. Mundi was an Associate at Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP focusing on corporate finance and securities in the real estate, technology and mining sectors.
Mr. Mundi holds a Bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University, a Master's degree from the University of Toronto and a law degree from the University of British Columbia.
Karen is an intrepid philanthropist, adventurer and mother of three. She has played leading roles in getting two innovative charities up and running in high gear.
Karen is the Charitable Giving Director of Hollyburn Properties. She was a Director of Strategic Partnerships at The Next Big Thing Foundation and Director of Foundation Development at the Obakki Foundation.
Karen is very community orientated and believes in giving back to her community - she has been part of the PumpkinFest committee for the last 2 years running the Farm Zone. She was also actively involved in running the Collingwood Spring Fair and has been involved with Vancouver Rent Bank and was previously on the Gala Committee of the North Shore Family Services for 4 years.
Karen lives in West Vancouver with her family.
Navida is a senior business leader with over 20 years of financial and accounting experience in roles with progressively increasing management responsibilities. She is currently the Associate VP, Finance at BCAA. She is a designated CPA and CA.
Navida is a strong volunteer within the Community including the Mulgrave Parents Association as well as their Special Events Chair. She also volunteers with Scouts Canada and Girl Guides Canada.
Her family live in North Vancouver and are actives users of the Community Centre.
Born in Kenya and educated in London before immigrating to Vancouver in 1973, Rick graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in 1985. He spent 25 years working and growing his family business; manufacturing and distribution of home furnishings to N. America’s largest home furnishings retailers. Retiring from the family business in 2009, Rick entered the luxury home development business. He is also an active private equity investor. Rick has been a member of YPO since 2007 and has served on numerous furniture industry boards, as well as a two-year term with the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
Rick and his family reside in West Vancouver and his family utilizes the Community Center on a regular basis.
Rick is a current Director of the WVCCS Board and sits on the Community Engagement and Outreach Committee.
Yang Wang is a real-estate developer in West Vancouver. Yang holds a master’s degree in business management from the University of British Columbia and a bachelor degree in engineering from the University of Southern California.
Yang serves as a board director at the Lions Gate Hospital Foundation and the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce. Yang is also the organizer of West Vancouver’s popular Asian New Year celebrations. Yang has also been serving as a committee member with various organizations including the District of West Vancouver and West Vancouver Foundation.
COUNCILLOR CRAIG CAMERON
Craig spent the formative years of his childhood in West Vancouver and returned to the community to raise a family. He lives with his wife, artist Cori Creed, and three young children in a house that he built in Ambleside.
He has a degree in Urban and Environmental Geography from the University of British Columbia and a law degree from the University of Victoria. He also studied International Law at the Universiteit Utrecht in the Netherlands. After clerking with Madam Justice Beverly McLachlin (now Chief Justice) at the Supreme Court of Canada, he articled with John McAlpine, Q.C. and was called to British Columbia Bar in 1999.
For the past nine years, Craig has worked as a litigator with the Department of Justice Canada, practising in various areas of civil litigation. He has training in and experience with a range of forms of alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and negotiation. Craig also has relevant experience in business, government, construction and the non-profit sector. Craig is a founding Board member of Access Pro Bono, one of Canada’s leading non-government providers of free legal services.
EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - JODI WEIDERICK
Jodi Weiderick started with the West Vancouver Community Centres Society as Executive Director in October 2017. Jodi has over 20 years of experience in both municipal and non-profit sectors with a passion for community engagement and community services. She is most looking forward to engage with the community about the Society and all of the great work that it is doing to enhance the quality of life for people living in West Vancouver.
Jodi grew up in West Vancouver and still has many connections to the community. She currently lives in North Vancouver with her husband and two young boys and enjoys being active and enjoying the outdoors in her leisure time.
