About the Fundraising Campaign:

The West Vancouver Community Centres Society is a volunteer, not-for-profit, membership driven organization of West Vancouver residents dedicated to ensuring our facilities, the programs they provide and the individuals participating, foster a true sense of community based on inclusiveness, generosity of spirit and good health.

The Build Community, Buy a Brick Campaign provides you the opportunity to be a part of meeting those goals and enhancing the benefits of our Community Centre. Be recognized as a community builder - have an individual or family name, a team or group name, or a business name engraved on a brick located in the South Plaza at the south entrance to the West Vancouver Community Centre.

Your contribution will support how the Society adds value to Community Centre programs. Funds raised during the first year of the Campaign have purchased a screen and a projector for the Atrium, and have provided funding for a summer youth leadership program.  In the future, funds will be directed to such items as enhanced programming in the Weight Room and the Aquatic Centre, new children's and youth initiatives, and new musical components.

Buying your brick:

Bricks can be purchased by individuals for $500, by groups (not-for-profit organizations, eg. sport groups) for $750, and by businesses/corporations (for-profit organizations) for $1,500.

Tax Receipts will be issued by the Society.

In Person:

Bricks may be purchased in person at the Community Centre reception desk, from the Board of Directors of the Society. Cash, cheque, and major credit cards are accepted.

Purchase your brick online through WebReg. A Society member will follow-up with you shortly afterwards to obtain wording for your brick.

What can go on the brick?

Engraving is restricted to an individual or family name, a group or team name which may be designated by a year, or a business or corporate name.  There is a three line maximum, 15 characters per line.

Life of the Bricks:

The brick will be maintained for a minimum of 10 years and, if replacement is necessary due to damage, it will be at the cost of WVCCS. It is expected that the bricks will remain in place past the 10 year lifespan providing the current plaza and pathways remain intact.
